And I think about the story of Hansel and Gretel and how they left breadcrumbs to try and find their way back out of the woods, but I can’t remember why they went in the first place. All I know is that they found a house made of candy and their gluttony was what got them in trouble, and I remember thinking what kind of person eats children? The same sort of person who’d build a house out of candy, I suppose. I don’t remember the moral of that story, but it had something to do with not running away.
