The Year With No Children

While the kids were getting settled at Deerfield, Linda and I headed to San Jose for a couple weeks to reset. We bought pot from locals, gorged ourselves on gallo pinto and made love in our bungalow amongst the frogs. Really roughed it.

Now look at us, sitting across from each other at the KFC/A&W combo restaurant trying to find anything to talk about. “Hey, remember when we saw a monkey?” “Yep, still remember.” “That was nice.” “Yep.” For the last six months, all we’ve had to talk about is that damn monkey. We make plans to visit the kids.
