The Apple Goose or why I don’t like OJ.

In 1994, my Government teacher gave us extra credit if we did community service. My mom let me come into her first grade class and read to her students. The books were so much stranger than the ones I read as a kid: Cashmere: The Bunny Who Lost Her Zipper; Micah and the Terrific, Wonderful, Excellent, Very Good Day; The Rat in the Vat (about third-world factory conditions). I invented my own character, The Apple Goose, and started sketching out a book. One night, I dreamed that OJ Simpson cut off the Apple Goose’s head. It was extremely believable.
