Stop the Presses: The Musical

Turn ‘em off, Shut ‘em, down, the best newspaper in town
Has the scoop to beat the band;
Back it up, get ‘em out, what this story’s about
will make our rag in high demand!

We’ll have to burn the midnight oil
to run this story to the soil
and then, to every boy and goil,
We’ll shout extra, extra, extra,
(modulation up a half step) extra, extra, whee!

Feed the paper, Fill the ink, throw in the kitchen sink
We’ll beg and steal and borrow;
We’ll write it, perhaps, and then go collapse,
And do it all again tomorrow!
