No it wasn’t meant to flee.

To the saintly Joseph and Maria Vitale, who nurtured their CloneX-CC293 through childhood, recognition must be given: You saw your cherished “Tommyboy” brutally dismembered before your eyes, and though the Company can never presume to make you whole again… All hail, Joseph and Maria! On the other hand, folks, what did you expect? Our CC (“Civil Courage”) clones are meticulously bred to stand their ground. A CC cannot back down. Nothing, not even fear of dismemberment would have caused Tommyboy to flee. We deem the CloneX-CC supremely successful. Thank you for your service. The Company will accord you due consideration.
