I’m Not Sorry At All

Margot- I know how much you like William Carlos Williams, so I was going to write this note to you as a poem based on “This is Just to Say.” But I never really got that poem. What makes a poem a poem? I don’t like that one or the one about the red wheelbarrow. Anyway, “this is just to say” that I took your car keys, which you had left out on the counter, and which you were probably going to need to get to work this morning. Forgive me, you wouldn’t give them to me when I asked.
