Green Sky Blues

I should have known not to pull that lever. It was my first day at the plant and I didn’t want to look stupid. Everyone seemed too busy to tell me what to do, so I took some initiative and improvised. It was red and looked too inviting not to pull. How should I know it was the atmospheric release valve control? I hate reading. Now, I’m the only one alive on Earth. The Law of Irony states that I alone have natural immunity to the chemicals. Or is it the Law of Coincidence? I get those two mixed up.
