Why he remembered everything from the previous loop, he didn’t know. Nor did he know why he was in the loop to begin with.

As days went, it wasn’t a terrible one to have to infinitely repeat. Work was uneventful, lunch tasty. The evening consisted of a very pleasant date with a very pretty girl; Marla, the barrista from the Starbucks around the corner. It was just that at the end of the date, no matter what he did, he would lean in for a kiss and she would ever so deftly turn her cheek to him. Every single time.
