A stranger on her face

First morning after the “Sorcerer incident”, Magda noticed a boil on her cheek. It wasn’t yellow with puss or red with blood, it was green, with what she didn’t know.

Second morning, the skin around the boil cracked and beneath it was a scaly green wart, the size of a marble. It grew and grew and by the tenth day, when it was the size of her own head, it had developed a functioning face. Fourteenth day, it sprouted a body and by the twentieth day it did most of the walking. Magda called it Robin after her grandfather.
